This sentence can be used about all four of Detroit’s sports teams, which is amazing. In 2019, they crushed the record for losses by teams in one city — a record including the 1962 Mets — and COVID-19 almost certainly stopped them from breaking it again in 2020. The Red Wings might have been the worst team of the cap era, the Tigers can’t even produce replacement-level hitters, and the Lions … are the Lions.

All three of those franchises have better situations than the Pistons. They’d be better off folding and starting over as an expansion team.

That’s sadly so obviously true it’s nit even particularly debatable. Wow. I didn’t realize the other Detroit teams were all so simultaneously terrible. How is it possible that the Lions are definitely the best team in Detroit?!
