Absolutely. We White Saviours need to shut up and listen. I’m trying to use my Twitter platform to amplify black voices, because even if they don’t have a solution, they have experience dealing with the problem. I don’t. I’m a middle-class, middle-aged white guy living in a 90% white suburb. My skin color has never held me back.

I can donate money and call for others to do the same, and my check mark means I can put black voices in front of a bigger audience. Is that going to change the world? No, but it might help change some minds. That’s the role I’m trying to play.
